Customer Rob Verboven rented a chubby from our Melbourne office to travel the country around for a total of 36 days! Here is a few of the pictures him and his girlfriend took of our van around Australia. More is available on their blog: Http://Waarzittenwe.nu
Here’s what Kerry and James wrote on their survey when returning their Chubby van: “We have hired Jucy & Spaceship and this van was heaps better, well laid out & equipped. Graphics are great too!” What can we add to that!?!? Thanks for the compliment guys
Their story
We arrived in Perth and made our way to the Travellers Auto Barn depot to pick up our new home on wheels for the next three weeks! A converted Mitsubishi Express with really cool Sandman graphics which caught everyone’s attention – including several curious Emu – (a later Google search revealed that the Holden Sandman was a very cool retro panel-van launched in the 1970‘s, popular with surfers), called a Chubby Camper it seemed well turned out and equipped!
There we were watching Bondi Resuce - and oh my g0d – our HiTop Campervan is in it….right on Bondi beach!!!
Spot our vehicles and win a ten day campervan trip – simply comment the different timings that you see the van (e.g. 4:54) & WIN WIN WIN. The first two comments with the right timings will win a campervan trip each.
Travellers Auto Barn, Australia’s number one vehicle sales and rental company for backpackers and independent travellers has recently launched its brand new free listing car & campervan sales site for backpackers, Cars 4 Backpackers which it hopes will become the “go to” site for backpackers looking to buy or sell their vehicle in Australia.
The site targeted at backpackers but free to anyone will allow prospective buyers to search available vehicles well before they arrive in Australia, gather valuable information about buying and selling and connect existing owners with prospective buyers even before they have finished their big drive. Travellers Auto Barn managing director, Peter Burke was excited about the possibilities the site brings and looks forward to developing Cars4Backpackers (C4B) into a valuable tool for adventure minded self drive travellers coming to Australia.
Why is the Great Ocean Road so popular? Well first, it is FREE! It offers free gorgeous scenery and free interesting attractions! It also is part of any decent to-do list for travellers in Australia. Amongst the attractions: The 12 Apostles, Cape Otway, Bells Beach and the many small towns by the side of the road.
