BBQ at TAB-Sydney

Travellers AutoBarn Sydney recently had the feeling, that it would be time to work proactively against seasonal affective disorders….so we invited some hostels and partner to a Sunday-BBQ-Session. Under the bright blue sky we would enjoy good food and some nice drinks with friends. So it happened…

Hi there! My name is Sam, and I’m one of the three gap year students who are currently taking the Getaway Car on a 10 day tour up the east coast. Traveller’s Auto Barn were nice enough to lend it to us provided we write a few words about our experiences. We’re also shooting some random footage to hopefully have a video for the site at the end of it.

In February 2010 Travellers Auto Barn, Australia’s leading campervan rental specialists, set themselves a task to identify and produce a raft of new marketing material for distribution to their worldwide network of preferred agents and tour desks. The brief was simple; produce a range of attractive, eye catching but above all useful material which will not only bring greater awareness of the Travellers Auto Barn name but also provide a valuable tool for everyday use by the agents themselves.

We always read about the best restaurants, best hotels, best sceneries around the world…but we all know that travelling, and especially backpacking, is not always easy breezy. Nevertheless, our best stories are sometimes about the most unpleasant experiences we’ve had in a foreign country, go figure! And the best part of it all is finding other people who’ve lived the same or a similar experience. That’s where the “Backpacker’s Worst Awards” come in.
