Choosing the best activities to do in Australia is a hard thing to do, however Nomads have managed to come up with a list of the 5 best value activities in Australia:
1. In Sydney, the Sydney sightseeing pass is a $100 pass that allows you to pick 5 activities to do in the city over a period of 3 months. It is very good value and includes activities such as the Blue Mountains, the Sydney Aquarium, jetboating and various museums.
2. If you wanna try diving in Australia, the Cairns Dive Liveaboard 3 Day Outer Reef Trip is a great deal. It includes 3 days and 2 nights on a nice ship, all meals, insurance and 11 dives (2 of which are at night time). So you get a lot for $650!
3. In Perth, Rottnest Island has 63 beaches and bays with amazing views to offer. For $60, you get a return ferry ride and the opportunity to relax on beautiful australian beaches. It is also possible to go snorkeling and to rent a bike to tour the island.
4. From Byron Bay, Nimbin is only a short way away. For $45 you get a tour that takes you to “another world”. It is also worth finding a tour that will offer free BBQ lunches or vouchers and really get your money’s worth.
5. A trip to Phillip Island, just off Melbourne’s shore, might seem like expensive, but it is worth the $100! Not only are there heaps of beautiful beaches, birdlife, nature and history, there is also unique opportunities. You will be able to witness the penguins parade, check out the Koala Conservation Centre and observe Australia’s largest fur seal colony.
Obviously there are many other great and cheap activities to do in Australia, but the choice is so hard! Feel free to share any of your great personal experiences
