We’ve done it again!!! Travellers Auto Barn have taken home the “Best National Camper/Car rental company” award at this years Golden Backpacks. That’s 3 out of the last 4 years we’ve gone home with the silverware!! Or clear plastic pointy thing-ware as is the case!

The awards dinner, hosted by TNT magazine and conducted by comedian Jeff Green, was held on Thursday night at Star City casino in Sydney and is Australia’s premier awards night for the youth travel and backpacker industry. This was the forth time Travellers Auto Barn have been nominated as finalists in a group which this year included some of the cream of Australia’s backpacker industry and to tell you the truth things were a little nervy at the TAB table.

This is what Travellers Auto Barn M.D Peter Burke has to say about the win.

“It was such an honor to be nominated again as a finalist for the  Golden Backpacks. This award just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year so even to included in the final five or six is pretty special. But to take home the prize against some excellent competition tonight is just amazing. It’s testament to the hard work and  dedication shown by everyone at T.A.B over the last 12 months and really caps off another great year for all of us. With all the hard work and planning which is going on at T.A.B HQ right now you’d better watch out for us come 2011 as well!!!”

This years Golden Backpacks saw some 20,000 votes cast over 35 different categories covering every aspect of the backpacker industry.  It is Australia and New Zealands only awards held exclusively for the backpacking industry and voted on by backpackers and travellers.
