Surfers Paradise is also famous for being the theme park capital of Australia with Movie World, Dreamworld, SeaWorld as well as water parks all within reach of Surfers Paradise – these are extremely popular with campervaners and it certainly helps that the sun is mostly shining in Surfers Paradise – or as we Aussies call it – “Surfers”.

2. BYRON BAY

Just a couple of hours south of Brisbane you arrive at popular Byron Bay – you might also call it the #1 Hippie City of Australia. Surounded by beautiful beaches, water activities, restaurants & markets this is a must stop for all travellers!

3. NOOSA

Two hours north of Brisbane you find the “posh” city of Noosa. Famous for its upper class restaurants/shops, beautiful beaches & stunning national parks this is a great stop not to be missed. It is also extremely popular with surfers – so get your surf board and head to Noosa! And while you are heading there don’t forget to visit Australia Zoo – home to the crocodile hunter Steve Irwin!

4. LAMINGTON NATIONAL PARK

Around 90 minutes south of Brisbane this national park is a “must see” destination! Rainforests, ancient trees, spectacular views, extensive walking tracks, exceptional ecological importance and natural beauty make this an outstanding place to visit. They also feature an awesome campground site!

5. BRIBIE ISLAND

Less than an hour away from Brisbane this is the perfect weekend getaway! Its famous for its wildlife – dolphines, turtles, birds – and its impressive national park. Its the perfect place to forget about your worries and just relax. It also features its own caravan park!
